We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God and that it is inerrant, infallible, and inspired. We believe that every word of Scripture has been divinely preserved in the original languages and that the King James Version is an accurate translation and holds the qualities of the original for English speaking people. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:19–21)
We believe in the triune God, eternally existing in three persons. We believe that God the Father is Creator of all that is in existence. We believe that God is holy and just, and that He is actively involved in His creation. We believe that God is love and extends His grace and mercy to sinners, but is just and will exercise His judgment to unbelievers in His time. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 64:35; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:3–6)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). We believe that Christ’s death on the cross accomplished our redemption, and our justification is made sure through His physical resurrection. We believe Jesus sits on the right hand of God and is our intercessor and representative to the Father. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18; John 1:1; John 14:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Luke 1:35; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 Peter 3:18)
We believe that God the Holy Spirit indwells believers and convicts the lost of their need for salvation. We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers Christians for service and convicts and teaches them throughout their Christian walk. (John 14:16–17; John 16:8; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Acts 5:3–4; Ephesians 1:13–14; Romans 8:9)
We believe that all men are sinners, and that sin separates us from a holy God. We believe that Jesus’ shed blood provides cleansing from sin for all men. We believe that personal faith in Christ’s work of redemption is the only way of salvation for every individual. We believe that the saved individual is kept by God’s power and is eternally secure. (Romans 3:10, 23, 25; Romans 6:23; John 3:16–17; Romans 10:13)
We believe in eternal judgment or blessing for every individual based on their acceptance or rejection of Christ. We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church followed by the seven year tribulation and the millennial reign of Christ. We believe the lost will suffer eternal damnation in Hell, and the saved will spend eternity with Christ in Heaven. (John 5:28–29; John 14:2; Revelation 20:14–15; Revelation 21:4; 1 Corinthians 3:12–15; Luke 16:19–31; Matthew 25:36; 1 Thessalonians 4:1–5:2; 2 Thessalonians 2:1–12; Revelation 19:1–20:15; Matthew 24:4–25:46; Daniel 9:25–27)
We believe that each individual has the responsibility to live a sanctified life, separated from the world and to Christ. We stand separated from liberal philosophies, including the ecumenical movement, the new age movement, and the shift away from biblical inerrancy. We believe that the responsibility to live a holy life extends into every area of the Christian life. We stand separated from the world’s philosophy, music, and trends. In standards of dress, we believe, as the Bible teaches, that we ought to dress modestly and distinctly. (Romans 14:13; 1 Timothy 29–11; 1 Corinthians 88–13; 1 Corinthians 14:1–40; 2 Corinthians 6:14–18; Proverbs 22:28; 2 Timothy 3:1–5)
