About US

      Gospel Outreach of Honduras (GO Honduras) was founded in 2017 as an Independent Baptist ministry dedicated to reaching the people of Honduras with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Located in Lejamani, Comayagua, GO Honduras was established by Chris Birkholz out of a deep burden to meet both the spiritual and practical needs of those in the region.

      Our ministry focuses on three key areas:

• Church Planting – Establishing and strengthening local churches to spread the Gospel and disciple believers.
• Evangelism – Actively sharing the message of Christ through community outreach, events, and personal discipleship.
• Child & Teen Care – Providing a safe and Godly environment for at-risk children and young people, equipping them with education, life skills, and a foundation of faith.

      Each year, we have the privilege of hosting mission teams from the United States. We handle all in-country transportation, lodging, and meals—teams are only responsible for their airfare and a $350 trip fee. Groups of up to 20 people can experience hands-on ministry through Evangelism, children’s programs, construction projects, and outreach in local communities.

      Beyond mission trips, GO Honduras operates year-round, offering practical assistance, Gospel-centered teaching, and community support. Whether through church services, youth programs, or our upcoming Evangelistic Feeding Center, Comedor Mercy, we strive to demonstrate the love of Christ in both word and action.
